The snow gave all our streets a totally different character and the red brick buildings shone out more in contrast with all that white.

I love this! Great brushwork and abstraction. Wonderful joyful feeling. I like the bits of turquoise.

Take care,

Barbara

Hi Rob, I wish in a way I had given myself at least one shot at painting the snow en plein air just for the experience of it but I'm finding anyway that the memory of those days is still strong.

Love all your snow scenes but this one really sings to me. The red is so beautiful next to the green/umber of the road. I like the abstractness and the tilt of the buildings. Just great!

Thanks Loriann - I was delighted to visit your blog the other day. Your paintings are inspiring - as are the clips you include from Wolf Kahn's writings on his paintings. This was all new to me. Great stuff!
