Hi Simon, yes, I tried to keep them simple. One of the reasons was that the photo references because they were taken at dusk did not give a lot of useful information. It was frustrating. I couldn't really see what was going on. I have forced myself to do six so four more to come.
These day's end pieces are wonderful. You are so adept at portraying the lighting and the architectural shapes, that a poor reference photo was not an obstacle. I look forward to more.
Thank you Dar - it's good to hear you say that. I just got quite frustrated peering at the screen, especially after painting the still lifes from life which is so enjoyable actually.
