The A624 (II)

(keywords: landscape painting england english hills fields motorway glossop)

Oil on hardboard 8" x 8"

These two paintings are of the A624 to Chapel en le Frith as seen from the Glossop end. It's a busy road but not too wide and you have wonderful hills and fields on both sides.

I like the purple and greens of this painting, Sheila. And the geometry and simplicity, also. And the luminosity of the road !

Hi Regis - yes the road was quite luminous in the midday light. One of the last days of summer I think! Glad you like the geometry. It's what I often strive for.
