These paintings are really inspiring Sheila. I love how they 'hover' between observation and abstraction. I also love your confident brushwork which gives them such verve. I've been enjoying looking at all your landscapes lately, even tho i was too lazy to leave a comment :)

Thanks Sally. That "hovering" is a bit of a challenge. If I fiddle too much the thing starts to situate itself too far on the realistic side for my liking.

Edith - I seem to alternate between being on fire and feeling as if someone has poured cold water all over me - damp, miserable and can't paint. I have learned to just sit out the cold water times!
