Cart track

farm land fields north england english rain landscape painting

Acrylic on hardboard 8" x 7.5" (please contact me if you are interested in purchasing this painting)

Up here the farmers' cart tracks are often filled with rainwater making very muddy exits and entrances. Mist, fog, rain, its all part of the scenery up north.

Hi Sheila,

This captures the wet, soggy, foggy week we've had north of Toronto. The heat of the city burns off the fog, but 30 kilometers north it's a different story altogether.

Lovely painting.

Take care,

Barbara

Hi Barbara, we have had almost constant rain for a couple of weeks now. You need stout shoes and a waterproof jacket every time you go out.

Hi Sheila

Came across your blog via Simon Jones' blog list, and I'm glad I did. I love this painting and your use of greys. Even a southern softy can relate to it! Beautiful work.

All the best.

Thanks Keith - good to meet you. Have had a quick look at your new blog. Love the "Canaletto-ish" light (seriously, it reminds me of that Master painter). Will keep a look out in the future.
