Day's end: Flamin Nosh

small town oil painting street road restaurant night lights nocturne

Oil on hardboard 8" x 8"

Flamin Nosh is a pizza restaurant close by to where I live. We once went as a whole family to celebrate a special birthday and the kids were allowed to create their own pizzas and see them put into the ovens. It always looks great at night because the banners are orange and look really good lit up.

Sounds like such a fun place to dine. I really like the way you handled the sky on this one.

Wonderfully economic brush strokes. They're painterly but minimal. This painting is very appealing for its sense of place, time of day and overall abstract design. I enjoy all your landscapes! And thanks for using my name and Picasso's in the same sentence. I'm honored! I also love his big sturdy women!

Marie, thanks for your kind comments here. I deliberately tried to stay loose with this one so I'm pleased you like it.
