Canal-side

This painting has been sold

Oil on wood panel 8" x 8"

I don't think I'll ever get tired of these old tributes to industry. It was so quiet by the canal and it struck me how even only fifty years ago the noise and activity down here would have been deafening.

Hi Sheila,

What a lovely painting. I love the colours, the brushwork, and the mood.
Gorgeous.

Beautiful - I can feel the warm sunlight shining through the railings!

Roxanne, thank you. Yes we do sometimes get sunshine although it is always a bit "fleeting" :-D
