I reckon this too is a classic, like floating in a dream..........maybe part of the effect is because the subject matter is so non descript, its just light and shade, on a road. The viewer cant just slip into automatic reactions, as one would with normal paintings.
From a while ago this one Simon but I sometimes go back to this place just to walk down that street again. It almost feels it is full of ghosts so I'm glad you liked it too.
