The former Palace Cinema Stalybridge
This painting has been SOLD
Oil on hardboard 12" x 9"
I am starting a series on daytime Stalybridge structures and buildings. It's going to be an honest, down to earth view I hope, finding beauty in even the most derelict corners. The Palace Cinema was not derelict but it was turned into a nightclub a few years ago. Thankfully they kept the facade. Hey, Lou, do you remember the French film series they did and there was you and me and about 4 other people in the whole cinema. I felt so sad when it closed.
I'm going to post this Stalybridge series on the "Real Art" blog as well because some people only go to that one.
