To the village

Acrylic on wood panel 8" x 8"

This is a great spot. I can turn round 360 degrees from this one spot and see dozens of views for possible paintings - and even the same spot in different weather and different times of day is going to look different of course. (I've also discovered where I can park the car much closer so that's an advantage too and saves time).

You can feel the turn of season and the restless light in these two recent landscapes. Very nicely done, Sheila.

Don that is such a good description of the quality of light here, especially at the moment. Thank you for the feedback.

These colors and shapes and the way you've handled them brings such a familiar feeling to me- It really reminds me of Valentia Island (Ireland)& that whole area in the west ....absolutely dreamy!

It's so nice to get confirmation from people who are familiar with the landscape in terms of "yes, this is what it feels like". Thanks so much Roxanne and Marjorie.

My motto: keep the car as close as possible ;)
