This is a revised image to the one I showed previously. I think it's an improvement and more a representation of how the painting really looks.

I don't find landscapes easy but we are surrounded here by the foothills of Derbyshire and Yorkshire (this is Derbyshire)so now and again I think I ought to give it a try.

Sunlight on an old street

This was very satisfying to paint. I liked the way the light was filtering through the gap between the shops and there was some scaffolding there too which made it more interesting. However this painting was very difficult to get a decent photograph of. Have tried a few times. This is the best so far.
